The Intentional Life

I have read many stories about successful people.  When I refer to successful people, I’m speaking of people who are living their God-given dreams.  People who have discovered their “why” to life and are intentional in pursuit. So intentional living means to live life on purpose.

After spending many years not seeing things in my life materialize, I realized I was missing intentionality and pursuit.  I was dreaming but not planning for anything. Does this sound like you? As a believer, are you waiting on God and have yet to realize God’s waiting on you?  What has God spoken to your heart that you have not yet done? Why?  Do what He’s already said to you, and I can guarantee you’ll begin to see He dreams for your life coming to fruition.

The Second College Edition of The American Heritage Dictionary defines intention as a plan of action; an aim that guides action. What’s your plan of action? Do not become discouraged if your life is not all you dreamed it would be. However, seek God for a plan of action and pursue.

One of my many, many favorite scriptures is Hebrews 12:1-3 (AMP).  Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, [looking away from all that will distract us and focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith (the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority and the completion of work]. Just consider and meditate on Him who endured from sinners such bitter hostility against Himself [consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Just do it!!! “Live The Intentional Life”.
