Don’t Throw in the Towel

I want to encourage you today not to quit. Life is tough; Don’t throw in the towel. In life, we will experience disappointments, frustrations, sadness, and so forth.  However, there is hope in Christ. The enemy of our souls will make us think we are the only ones going through or has gone through this. But don’t allow him to fool you. Others have experienced the same things and made it through. When you are going through, look to God for his strength and wisdom.

When you are going through these times, above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. What you are thinking or saying at this time will affect the condition of your heart. What are you telling yourself?  What do you think about your situation? What do you believe about God?

In those times, when you feel like throwing in the towel, take authority over those feelings and grab hold of God’s word for that situation. Settle the issue! God’s word will never fail you. Consistency and diligence are the keys to victory.  Move from feelings to faith.

Here are a few scriptures that I hope will encourage you and increase your faith:

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? Romans 8:35

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him. 40:1-3

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

Use that towel to wipe your tears and keep persevering on the journey. Growth happens in tough times, not good times. (Hebrews 12:11-NLT)

  4. The scripture you have given in this post is very encouraging! I loved each and every one of them. I thank God for putting your Blog post in front of me! You are right, sometimes we need to be reminded of God’s Love and care He gives us. Thank you for your insight! Many blessings to you!

  5. I love this. God never gives up on us. And He’s the one who perfectly knows our full potential and what we’re truly capable of- eternally! This is one of the reasons why reading scripture daily is so crucial. It’s food for the soul. We feed our bodies daily, we therefore must feel our souls daily with scripture and prayer. Forward ho!
